PURA UTZ is a Danish / Guatemalan based 'empowerment project' by Anna Andrés (a former nurse), Bernabela and their team of 50 Guatemalan women weavers. Meaning 'pure quality/ pure good', all products are produced to honour and create a sustainable income for the women weavers on their team. On a mission to connect the world, Pura Utz creates pieces that honour the Mayan weaving tradition and colourful perspective, and at the same time are modern and relevant for the international market.
